The People Business Partner Specialist collaborates within the People Business Partner Team and other departments throughout the organization to support compliance, accountability measures, and company policies and procedures. Ensures all center staff license & certification verifications are performed in accordance with regulatory, accreditation standards, and internal standards. Provides technical and administrative support to the People Business Partner Team that includes coordination and management of the team member suspension process, exit interview administration, responding to Level 1 manager and team member questions and concerns, and basic reporting and data analytics support.
Job Requirements
Education
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's Degree preferred (experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Work Experience
- Five years of administrative support experience, three years of human resources admin support (preferably in the health care industry).
- Two years of medical licensure/certification verification experience. (highly preferred but not required).
- Strong detail orientation required, with the ability to administer multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Perform work at a high level of accuracy and timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- One year of human resource assistant, coordinator, or specialist experience with health care experience. (preferred)
- Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives. (preferred)
Required Licenses/Certifications
PHR or SPHR or other Human Resource Certification preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
- HR information systems/database experience
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience
Essential Functions
- Under close supervision, utilizes established procedures to perform routine assigned tasks.

- Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
- Assist the People Business Partner Team with projects via planning, data gathering and analysis.
- Performs center staff license and certifications verification tasks to facilitate compliance with standard operating procedures regarding the verification.
- Utilizes knowledge regarding national accreditation standards, internal center staff requirements and other related policies and regulations to perform functions pertaining to the center staff certification/licensure process.
- Communicating with People Team and Operations leaders to provide regular updates regarding licensure, certification, per diem status, providing updates and obtaining additional team member information as required.
- Obtaining license and certification information from publicly available state/government agency websites.
- Maintaining and updating HRIS on individual center staff certification/license status and maintaining a complete and accurate log of historical data.
- Continually audits and analyzes the certification/licensure process in partnership with Total Rewards to identify deficiencies in controls and to identify process/workflow issues recommending improvements to manager and implementing if approved.
- Assist with various programs, initiatives and projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
